Mommy & Me

My eldest son, Jaden, and I used to have a standing tradition for years — he calls it “Mommy & Me” day. He and I spent a day together each month–no younger brother (we started when Jack was a baby), no work, no errands, NO BLACKBERRY. Just he and I, doing fun stuff together: going bowling, visiting a book store, running around the park, playing laser tag, having lunch at his favorite restaurant, taking in a movie, mini-golfing, collecting rocks while on a leisurly hike. You name it.
